Senior Financial Accountant

As a Senior Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of this dynamic organisation. You will be entrusted with overseeing control and accurate reporting of inventory items, preparing annual budgets, facilitating audits, and managing tax returns. Your leadership skills will shine as you guide the team. Your commitment to accuracy, integrity, and compliance will ensure that all financial information is reliable and robust.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, including the Fixed Asset Registers.
  • Oversee control and accurate reporting of inventory items/network spares.
  • Provide robust and relevant financial information to the operating units of the business.
  • Prepare and support the annual budget & business planning financial forecasts.
  • Manage the preparation and entry of monthly general ledger journal entries.
  • Facilitate and lead the audit process with the external auditors.
  • Assist in managing the preparation of all annual income tax returns.

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in finance.
  • Experience in leading a finance team.
  • CA qualified (or similar) with an Accounting/Business degree.
  • High standard of functional and technical knowledge in statutory reporting, taxation, compliance.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams, providing guidance and coaching.
